Restaurant Manager

Glance Job Description:


-Completed Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in a Hospitality related field, preferably in food and beverage management.

-3 to 5 years

Job Duties:
• Plan, organize and control daily operations of the restaurant to ensure guests receive extraordinary service and the restaurant is being managed safely and profitably
• Responsible for overseeing quality of food and beverage guests receive
• Implement operational procedures
• Recruit, train and supervise staff in job duties corporate culture, customer service sanitation and safety procedures
• Ensure and monitor Ontario health and safety regulations, and sanitation standards are followed at all times
• Oversee staff work schedules monitor staff performance
• Provide excellent customer service and take an active role in resolving customer complaints according to provided guidelines
• Participate in the upper management marketing, revenue plans and implementation
• Monitor revenues, develop, implement and analyze budgets
• Review restaurant records of stock including overseeing weekly purchase orders, supplier deals, expenses, repairs and wastage
• Responsible for arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
• Hold business meetings, sales calls and bring in new customers for catering services and corporate deals
• Oversee accurate completion of all opening and closing duties of the outlets
• Responsible for daily deposits, and the accurate operation of the POS systems
• Ensure all goods delivered are handled and implemented as per global “MADO” brand standards
• Handle market research and analysis to implement necessary updates to the menu, including items, prices, and other
• Responsible for overseeing the arrangement and delivery of banquets and other events

Additional Skills:
-Conduct and actively take part in performance reviews and appraisals, training staff for further development, organize staff attendance to internal and external training events

Business Equipment and Computer Applications:
-Electronic cash register; POS (Point of sale system), MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, Word, Office, Outlook)

Security and Safety:
-Criminal record check

-Extensive knowledge and expertise in Human Resources, Marketing, Food Serving and Customer Service in Food and Hospitality sectors. Good knowledge and work expertise in Mediterranean cuisine. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, Initiative, Accurate, Flexible, Effective Team player, Excellent oral and written communication, Client focus, Dependable, Reliable, Organized, Excellent use of Microsoft applications, Cash register and POS.
